Bohemian beach home mood board
When I was a child, we had a rugĀ just like the one below. I learnt to walk on it and spent countless days playing. Until the day my little sister became allergic to wool and we had to throw away all things wool, including stuffed animals… So in my adulthood,Ā every time I had to furnish a place, I started with a Moroccan wool rug, they are so beautiful and fluffy. They can either be minimalistic like this one or colourful and totally hippie. Most of the time, the rugs are hand crafted by women villagers in the mountains. Therefore, I like to think that I contribute to a woman’s emancipation somewhere when I buy one. Even the ones on Amazon, if they are wool made they probably come from a Moroccan mountain village originally, through a long distribution channel.

I have a furnishing project right now. Let’s go crazyĀ with the colours for once, in the spirit of this mood board, for a totally eclectic Bohemian vibe. Most of all, I need some time to look for second hand and crafted treasures, before online shopping, and checking out Ikea and concept stores.Ā
