Roadtrip itinerary: From Rabat to Biarritz

Oct 17, 2017Europe, Travel2 comments

16 days, over 3200 km, thousands of pictures and countless beautiful sunsets later, our Spanish roadtrip has ended….

To tell you the whole story, we were invited to a wedding in Saint Jean de Luz in France and when one of our friends suggested to do it by car, we automatically said yes! From Morocco to France we have to go through Spain, and it’s one of the most scenic countries I’ve ever seen! if you have the opportunity to do it someday you will not regret it. The scenery was so beautiful that I couldn’t take my eyes off the window. Usually, during a roadtrip, when I’m not driving I either read a book or a magazine, plan some movies to watch, catch up on work, or take a nap. I wasn’t able to do any of those because I didn’t want to miss a second of the view!

By the way, I am sorry for disappearing lately in here! If you follow me on Instagram you probably know that I was on the roadtrip for more than two weeks and then I got back to a furnishing project that is taking more time than expected. I didn’t want to force my self or rush into a non-genuine content, so I took a break from the blog. But, I shared most of my trip daily on Instagram and Instagram stories so if we’re still not friends there go take a look at my page and follow my adventures: _justdalal_

Currently I am still going through the pictures, in between contractors meetings and home appliances shopping. The trip already feels like a far gone memory, and I had a lot of pleasure reliving those moments while I was organising the pictures. You know those moments when you find yourself smiling at your computer (and the people around you think you’re crazy).

This roadtrip increased my excitement to try the #vanlife someday…

The scenery was magical, Europe is pretty safe everywhere and it would’ve been great to cut the hotels/restaurants costs and bad surprises. I can’t imagine how great it would be to travel with a little home of our own, cooking healthy food on the go (because Spanish gastronomy is definitely not the healthiest!) and waking up in a picturesque beach or a dense forest.

Otherwise, I will try to post the content by chronological order, but if you have any specific request let me know: cost, logistics, packing tips, apps I used…

knowing that I still have content to post from my Moroccan roadtrip

and some lifestyle articles requested by my Instagram friends. Wish me luck!

The roadtrip was made by car and the ferry crossing from Tangier to Tarifa. We were five people in the car, so I had to pack even smarter than usual, including my wedding outfit.
