Lifestyle: daily morning coffee at the beach

The amazing new habit of having our morning coffee at the beach. The downside of working from home is that you feel like you always have to work, there is always something to do, to think, to improve… so starting the day at the beach is the perfect way to unwind and enjoy a quiet morning. I can finally catch up on my reading, I’ve been a very lazy reader recently.

Work from home outfit

Still on the working from home topic…

Obviously, winter calls for fuzzy comfy pieces. So my uniform at home is usually a pair of jeans, my trusty Ugg boots or any stuffed cute shoes paired with a sweater or a t-shirt/ shirt and a chunky cardigan. A messy bun or a headband to keep my wild hair away from my face, a simple pair of stud earrings and the Moroccan lipstick to add a touch of colour. Working at home doesn’t mean wearing pyjamas or workout clothes all day, personally I need to dress in order to be productive. Add an XXL cup of tea, burn a piece of Armenian paper and you have my perfect work environment. I particularly enjoy spicy tea blends in the winter.

What to eat in fall?

I’ve been into smoothies a lot lately, to get my veggies and fruits intake first thing in the morning. I don’t follow a specific recipe I improvise with what I have at home and what’s in season, respecting the following:

  • A colour scheme to avoid the brownish gross-looking colour, don’t mix green ingredients with red or orange ingredients (revise your primary colours)…. unless you don’t give one care about the looks and in this case cheers to you!
  • A base of banana, avocado or pear for creaminess
  • Dates as a sweetener
  • Gounded flax seed, chia seed or spirulina (if the smoothie is green) to pimp my drink
  • Ginger or cinnamon to spice things up
  • A little bit of water or plant based milk

Otherwise I am abusing soups and stews, perfect for the season! And snacking on artichokes, avocados, tangerines and pomegranates. I love the veggies and fruits of this time of the year!

Streaming

I just finished a Harry Potter marathon, I always rewatch HP in this season. There is something cozy and decadent about the series, that goes with the winter in my head.

Thank you Magda, that’s the best. I hope we’ll keep this habit as long as we are close to the beach <3

Wow! Having the first coffee of the day on the beach seems like an ultimate experience, Dalal. Although I am not a morning person, this would be a great reason to rise and shine. 😉

This would definitely be an excuse to become an early bird 😉
