Moments in Chefchaouen: Riva fashion fall collection
We just got back from a trip to Chefchaouen the blue city of Morocco. This place is visually striking and we were discussing doing something creative in Chefchaouen for a while. So when Riva fashion asked us to do a video, we immediately thought of the blue city.
I personally think Chefchaouen is the most beautiful city in Morocco. The blue washed walls are so unique and the whole relaxing vibe of the city is very soothing. I would recommend it over Marrakech anytime! So as you can guess, apart from shooting we mostly got lost in the beautiful blue streets and sipped countless cups of tea and coffee on the main square. Both husband and I are very excited to start our video project, you can tell he enjoys making videos a lot more than the rest. I, on the other hand still find it a bit daunting, but I’m enjoying every minute of the creative journey we embarked on.
I initially found Riva fashion through Instagram and reached out instantly for a collaboration. I simply loved their line! The brand has everything I look for, elegant and comfortable clothing with a touch of freespirited style and effortless chic à la Parisienne. That’s exactly what I need in my new lifestyle, since I work mostly from home now and I travel a lot.
A new video format and the launching of our youtube channel
The project will hopefully the first of a long serie of moody travel & fashion videos. In this format, we (husband and I) combined both our preferences to come up with a hybrid concept that includes travel & fashion with a cinematic style, an editorial subtle edge wrapped in a bit of story telling.
What do you think of this format?
Along with the video I shot the outfits so you can have a better look on each piece. Here are my picks for this collaboration, they proudly makes my fall capsule wardrobe:
Clothing
- Boho polka dots dress
- Eyelets sweater dress
- High waisted culotte pants
- Cozy stickers cardigan
- Mustard trench vest
- Jersey wrap dress
- Embroidered pullover
- Embroidered kimono
Accessories
- Studded bag
- Round handle bag
- Statement bracelet
- Statement necklace
- Tassel sautoir
- Silver loafers
- Platform espadrilles sandals
- High heeled bootie sandals
- Studded babouches
- Khaki turban
Be prepared to see them on repeat! Everything feels luxurious and fits very well. My favourite item is definitely the embroidery kimono, it’s a piece of art, I actually hanged it on a wall next to my office… The quality of the bags is really great, the brown one is currently my go to bag.
