Inspiration rut

I’m stuck in a weird inspiration rut… As you know I am still in Mexico for the moment, in the quiet village of Rio Lagartos. While I am taking tons of pictures and content, I struggle to produce and post I don’t know why. This happens when I get too much into my head, between what I am supposed to be posting, what I think you guys want me to post, and what’s actually happening in my life.

Or maybe, I just want to be in the moment and soak up as much as I can from this amazing adventure, and make the best content to sort out later. I’ve always preferred writing travel posts after my trips, to have time to reflect on them and have the best perspective to give you guys. I also enjoy reliving those moments while I write the articles.

My WordPress is full of unfinished articles that just need a little tweaking before they are complete, but I couldn’t finish any of them. Also, I have three videos in the making that know the same fate. I don’t want to come off as whiny, I am absolutely not complaining and grateful for every minute of this adventure and life in general. I am just sharing out loud like I would do in a journal.

To be honest, I think that the Instagram game got into me, that’s why I stopped for few days. But now it’s becoming fun again and I love interacting with you guys, so keep the DMs coming. I am still updating daily there so follow me for instant updates: Instagram.

New days

But here I am breaking this pattern! And what’s better than my favourite Friday mood random posts to do so. I wish you a very beautiful weekend, and thank you so much for following those little bits of our lives and adventures. Let me know if there is anything particular that you want me to share.

San Felipe

The pictures were shot yesterday in San Felipe, a close-by village very similar to Rio Lagartos. We walked through a jungle path that leads to a cenote. But I avoid being anywhere near the waters in here… there are crocodiles everywhere! The walk ends with a high tower where you can climb a have a 360 view of the river and the jungle. Better appreciated during sunsets obviously!

Denim on denim

I love this combo, it’s very comfortable with a twist. It’s a literal boyfriend look, because the Levi’s shirt is borrowed from Omar’s closet and I purposely bought the AEO shorts two sizes bigger to wear them baggy. You probably already seen my favourite sandals of the season on Instagram which are also very comfortable and affordable. AEO is one of my favourite brands since forever, their denim cuts and shapes are one of the rarest that perfectly suit my figure. The bag is from Riva Fashion part of the capsule that we shot in Havana (here).

Trying to stay stylish and comfortable with a limited wardrobe, given that we are still traveling 🙂 I don’t need to look like a full-on Decathlon backpacker to travel. To each their own but I prefer the motto #travelwithstyle.
