Beach walks and good vibes in Costa Rica

Jun 27, 2018America, Travel

Hello loves,

I cannot tell you how good I feel in here! I feel in balance, energised and I have more clarity. Apparently it has a lot to do with the elevated amount of oxygen and the clear ocean air. My body’s internal clock is set on 6.30, but today I woke up at 5 a.m completely ready to start my day.

The beach, Playa Guiones is so close to our hotel that we went there three times today. The pictures are from our morning walk, and you can understand why I really feel in my element here. At 7 in the morning, there were already people on the beach, surfing, running, walking their dogs, meditating and doing yoga. On the little jungle path that separates us from the beach, there were hundreds of black and orange fluorescent crabs emerging around us. It was an impressive spectacle, wherever we turned our heads we saw orange spots everywhere in the jungle. But crabs are easily scared and fast, so I only got one picture and even this one was quite a challenge.

I am enjoying the hippie chilled atmosphere, it’s cool in its most basic meaning. Nothing like the new jetset fake bohemian paradises (Hello Tulum!). The only downside is that it’s really expensive! I said yesterday that it was expensive as Europe, but it turned down that it’s as expensive as big American cities. For example we bought 4 bananas, 2 mangoes and a bag of tortilla chips this morning for 20 USD!

After our walk we had breakfast in our private terrace at the hotel. Coco chia seed topped with our luxurious fruits. Recipe: here.

On a different note, I can’t wait to surf! I will not leave Costa Rica without taking few waves, even if I have a back ache right now and my surfing skills must be pretty rusty.

See you tomorrow! From Nosara Costa Rica
