Upper view Regalia hotel & skyline infinity pool

Travel bucket list view!

Hello from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia!

When you picture Kuala Lumpur, you usually think of two things: The Patronas Twin towers and a skyline infinity pool view! Regalia’s is one of the most famous ones, overlooking the Petronas twin towers and KL tower.

If you come to Kuala Lumpur, schedule at least a night or two to experience the skyline lifestyle: pool, free gym, indoors gardens and all. And the magic of Kuala Lumpur is that you can live your best life for an average of 60$ per night!

Regalia is a skyscrapper complex with condos, a gym, a mini market, a café a tropical indoors water garden and the Upper view hotel where we stayed at the 37th floor. The same as the rooftop pool!

If somehow by miracle you are tired of the scenic view (or the people taking pictures like me #Sorry), you can enjoy the quiet pool at the 5th floor, overlooking the indoors garden.

Definitely worths the price for the view and the infinity pool. Here is a tip, if you’re staying at the Upperview, there a direct elevator to the 37th near the reception of the hotel. Instead of taking an elevator that will stop at several floors.

Transportation

The skyscrapper area is not really walking-friendly, our favourite transportation method in KL (and all South-East Asia) is Grab app. It’s really cheap here, so I strongly recommend you to buy a local SIM card the minute you step foot in Malaysia. I got a DIGI one, because they have the best 4G network.

Food options

However, if you’re not in KL for sightseeing you can definitely spend your days at the gym and the pool and walk 2-3 min to the closest mall for meals: Sunway Putra for a plethora of food options. It’s the building right next to Regalia.

  • My favourite option being: Dolly Dim Sum., gastronomic Shanghai food. Their Dim Sum are absolutely amazing, an explosion of flavours and not so greasy. It’s more on the fine dining KL budget compared to what you can get in China Town, but it’s a much more better quality. Don’t leave the place without trying their mango soup dessert. I came back to the place the day after just to have another one.
  • Or you can try the café at the 4th floor of Regalia’s building. There is also a restaurant called Hemisphere at the 37th floor, but I didn’t try it. The mini market has a lot of snacking options and fruits and is surprisingly not overpriced.
  • There is an even lazier option: Use Grab app to get food delivered 😉
Dimsum paradise!
Beautiful view from our room
My love for complimentary coffee & tea 😀
Omar is asking for the same functional office at home!
This view never gets old…

Our stay at The Upper view Regalia hotel was complimentary but as usual all opinions are my own.
