Riad Boussa

Dress: likemary/ Necklace: Moroccan market

In the second part of our Marrakech medina experience we stayed at Riad Boussa…

That was the first time that we experienced the riad life. In Marrakech we usually stayed in the modern part of the city or most of the times outside the city. Honestly, we always thought that the medina is over touristic and a bit overwhelming, but we were pleasantly surprised. I will develop my impressions more in the city guide.

But what we liked the most is the riad life…

Riad Boussa is one of those places where you instantly feel welcomed. Brigitte, Ali and all the staff were always there to greet us, ask us about our day and give us tips and advice to make the best of our Marrakech trip. You can tell when someone is passionate about their work, they are constantly looking for ways to improve their business and never lack motivation or enthusiasm to manage the smallest details. Everything was always clean and tidy, the common areas smell like a luxurious SPA and you wake up to a soft jazz music playing in the courtyard. The attention to details is impressive! You know how I feel about luxury being in the smallest things and not in extravagance (article here), so Riad Boussa is the kind of places where you feel like a million bucks. Luxury is when you find a “Good night” card every night in your bed along with a plate of Moroccan cookies (true story!).

I love the Bazar chic decor of the riad all in warm colours and selected artisan pieces

“Boussa” means “kiss” in Moroccan arabic

I was invited as a guest by Riad Boussa. As always, all opinions are my own.
