Red ruffles in Merida
This is an outfit for a sightseeing day in Merida – Mexico. Merida is the capital of the Yucatan peninsula. It’s an absolute colonial architecture gem with a heavy culture. In Merida you’ll find cathedrals, palm gardens, paved streets, pastel colours and Yucatec artisan shops.
The first time we went to Merida, we took a collectivo from Izamal. We got to a free walking tour before exploring the city on our own. I will do a more thorough post on Merida and its history.
That day I wore a linen ruffles red top that makes me feel like a flamenco dancer. You know how I had to be overly creative and invent new outfits with the same clothes for fours months. I bought the mesh market bag in Mexico. I am a huge fan of vintage square scarves! They are versatile and stylish … and most importantly light in the suitcase. I hope it will inspire you to reinvent your closet and/ or to invest in stand out pieces like this top.
I wish you a wonderful an productive week.
